Who are you as a person?
Well first off “Howdy,” my name is Liza and I am the owner of Howdy Bonita.
I am from the lovely state of Arkansas & Michoacan, Mexico. My favorite color is orange, my favorite holiday Halloween, favorite movie Pearl and I love glitter on everything. I am a mother of 2 beautiful babies that inspire my world and bring me so much happiness!
Oh & I love a good iced matcha on a Friday morning with avocado toast. It’s simply delightful.
Why did you start your business?
Honestly I wasn’t sure till after a few months of working with clay, that I wanted to make a business of it. I thought “for sure this hobby will only last a few months”? But it grew fast and I really do love creating pieces that make people happy. I love to make things that make me happy.
If you want other women in biz to know one thing, what would it be?
One thing I would want other women to know is just to be your most authentic self.
When I first started, I was super self conscious of pretty much everything.
“Will people like what I make?” “Will they buy it?” “Is this too much?”
I felt shy and never wanted to show myself as I was. With the years I have learned people actually appreciate and relate to your interests more than you know.
What results stick out to you the most about Pinterest’s take on “Liza Core?”
LIZA MINNELI! Even though my name is pronounced Lee-zuh. There’s also a witchy vibe to Liza core so that is very fitting to who I am. I love crystals and mystical things.
